Our Story:

Bluebonnet Aviation was founded by, Brett and Trip. They share a passion for aviation and a belief that flying represents something greater than just transportation — it stands for freedom, discipline, and adventure. Based in the heart of Texas, Bluebonnet Aviation was built to bring high-quality, personalized flight instruction to those who dream of taking to the skies.

 

Brett, a 4th generation pilot, has always known he would have a career as an aviator.  Starting in gliders at the age of 14, and soloing an airplane at 17, he continued his education at Oklahoma State University as a college athlete majoring in Aerospace Administrations and Operations, Professional Pilot concentration.  Trip, a first-generation pilot and college athlete, discovered his love for flying when he took his first “discovery flight” with Brett. Trip obtained his flight training from a part 141 school in North Texas. 

 

What started as a conversation between two pilots quickly became a vision of how to reshape what flight training could be. We wanted to create more than just a way to learn — we set out to build a community. A place where students are supported not only by instructors but also by a culture of mentorship, safety, and encouragement. Whether it is your first introductory flight or you are preparing for a career in aviation. We are here to walk with you every step of the way.
